A Blessed Life

I have much to tell and catch up on these days. I took a small hiatus to get our lives on track, and we are finally on the downswing and ready to return to normal. The past few weeks have been very eventful. To make a SUPER long story short, we closed down the old office here in Petoskey and moved it to a very large and beautiful new office. We went from an uncomfortably small 800sq ft to a lovely and spacious 3166sq ft to be exact. We have been open now almost two weeks and are currently just working on the final bugs and touch ups. We have two big screens and two upside-down monitors that need to be all wired to the same frequency, and lots of little stuff for the tanning salon portion of the office. For anyone that didn't know this, we acquired the tanning salon in near full functioning status. We renovated three quarters of the building for our office and kept one hallway of tanning. We are going to keep 7 beds running until we slowly transition into the space as we need it. We are hoping to get a physical therapist and an MD in the building with us along with one more message therapist and a naturalpath. Cash flow baby, it's the name of the game! The x-ray room is currently 98% finished and the darkroom is about 85% finished. We have one weekend of cleaning up the old office and re-drywalling the old x-ray room.
The compliments have been awesome. Everyone has been in shock and totally in love with the new office. We even had an x-ray salesman/repairman stop in to bring us new chemicals for the machine and he said he stepped back out of the office to double check the sign and make sure he was in the right building (he is new and we haven't used him before). He also told Mike that he has clients all over the state of Michigan, the UP, and Ohio, and our office is the nicest he has seen-yippy! We just LOVE it. We had friends come up last weekend from TC, another chiropractic family, and they were astonished. So all in all we have had a great response, but know that it has come with a price. I am not talking a huge financial price; physically and emotionally we are drained. We have been working on the office change since the last weekend in March, it is now the second week in June. We have had barely an ounce of time to share with friends let alone get some good horse time in. Thank goodness you can sit in the hot tub at all hours of the day/night. My horses keep looking at me like, hey girl-it's June and we haven't been out yet-you promised, your not pregnant or nursing a baby anymore-let's go! I miss them so much it hurts.
The girls have been amazing throughout this process. They love the new office too! We got them both cars that they push with their feet, and they go for miles in the office on these cars. They desperately wanted to help paint-but didn't happen so much. They have probably eaten way too much pizza the last couple of months, but you won't hear them or my husband complain. I will be sure to upload pictures soon.
We may not have everything, wouldn't want it all anyway, but we have so much to be thankful for. Mike and I have an incredible marriage, two beautiful and healthy daughters, a great little farm with my beloved horses and dogs, a new insanely cool office, our health, and GOD. We are truly BLESSED.
