Once Labor Day arrives, you know summer is ending fast. The last real weekend of summer for most because school will begin and everything will be back to a regular five day week schedule. We didn't have any huge plans for the holiday weekend, just a lot of lose ends to tie up. Mike's mom and niece Jayla traveled up for the long weekend. Hope was very excited to have a big girl to play with and not her baby sister for once. We think Jayla really likes it up here, there's a lot to do on a farm compared to the city life. She was anxious to do chores every morning, and got the most excitement out of hunting for eggs. Our hens lay at all different times of the day, so she ran outside every couple of hours looking for eggs. Mike's mom helped out at the house, which is always very welcoming. We finished some yard cleanup from the roofing weekend and we even got my suburban cleaned inside and out.
Hope and Jayla got to ride the pony, poor Haidyn was pretty jealous!
Haidyn has kept us pretty busy these days walking all over the house with a little assistance from her push toys. It's only a matter of weeks now before she is independent and on the go.
