Fall just happens to be our favorite time of the year. The weather is perfect for almost everything we love. The kids can play for hours outside, the trees are beyond beautiful, the flies are barely around, and the horses are getting fuzzy. Nothing is like cuddling up to a fuzzy warm horse in the fall. The one and only draw back is the shorter days, as if there are enough hours in a day to begin with-good golly. The girls are trying to acclimate to the darkness, which means they are going to bed earlier but also waking up LOTS earlier. Our morning bliss starts around 6:15am these days, so much for getting chores done before the girls wake up.
With fall comes hunting. Daddy is ever so excited to start hunting tomorrow morning. Soon you will hopefully see pictures of his deer posted on this blog. Hope loves hunting already, thank goodness there doesn't seem to be permanent damage from last year. To fill you in, my almost three year old ran over to see dad and his hanging deer shortly after it was gutted. While running to see dad and not listening to mom yelling at her, she ran to him, grabbed the hose, and continued to help clean the inside of the deer. I was almost mortified thinking that she was going to end up somewhat scarred, but all seems ok.
This weekend we will hopefully have the chance to go to a pumpkin patch to play and get fall goodies. Maybe Haidyn will be taking some steps on her own this weekend, we are so close...
